“Successful and creative open plan teaching and office spaces”
Open plan areas are a key part of modern teaching, and have been shown to work well as learning environments. This kind of space can be the most acoustically demanding however, due to a diverse range of teaching activities and pupil needs. Unfortunately there is currently very little guidance for the acoustic design of open plan teaching spaces.
MACH Acoustics have spent a considerable length of time researching and designing these spaces, and have developed a range of solutions for achieving optimum acoustics. Our Open Plan Learning Spaces CPD covers the following issues;
- The acoustic effects associated with different room layouts
- How to effectively use room acoustic treatments
- How to use acoustic screens (includes audio demonstrations)
- Providing the right acoustics for audio/ visual teaching
- Managment of teaching spaces
Based on years of applied R&D at Mach Acoustics, this CPD brings you exclusive knowledge from the forefront of open plan acoustic research. The issues discussed have a common goal – improving the open plan learning experience in accordance with BB93.
